Who calls a band “Dungaree”? It’s a singular that just begs to be a plural. It’s like calling your band The Lone Rangers when there are three of you, only in reverse (yes, I love that film). I’ll tell you who calls a band Dungaree:
- László Gergely – Vocals
- Horváth Zoltán – Guitar
- Attila Balogh – Bass, Additional vocals
- Makai László – Drums

These are the Hungarian gentlemen responsible for the awesome bit of stoner rock that is currently pounding out of my speakers, “Mountain”. This is the first new song they’re released since their last album, 2018’s Electric Altar, came out. An album I think I want to check out based on how damn good this is.
As soon as it started, I thought “grunge”. Then it got heavier and more fuzzy, a mixture that sits very well in the earholes. Slow, but not plodding. Heavy, but not abrasive. Wailing, but not strident. Yes. Yes, I like this very much. I’m looking forward to hearing a whole album-worth of this!
