Once again The Distortion Project hosted a quartet of acts vying for a chance to play the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at this year’s Bloodstock Festival. Kerri was there to record events on her magic picture box…
She reports good things, but as always there will be disappointment. In this case Periapt – a hard rock group from Portadown – and Rusty Taste of Sweetness with their harder edge were the pair that just fell short. It’s never easy to report on those who didn’t make it, but we’re certain we’ll see them both again next year!
Going through to the semi-final were Sky Pilot with their groovey, stoner riffs, and straight up metal act Rule of Six.
The next heat will take place at Voodoo Belfast on Thursday March 8th.
