Album Review: Divine Chaos – Hate Reactor

With Hate Reactor, Divine Chaos don’t just return – they detonate. This 2026 release marks a ferocious new chapter for the band, sharpened by collaboration with UK producer Chris Clancy and powered by a lineup operating at full throttle. From the first crushing bars, it’s clear this is a band evolving with intent.

Matt Gilmour and Chris O’Toole deliver meaty, precision-cut guitar riffs that balance groove and aggression, locking into riffs that hit hard without sacrificing nuance. The rhythm section is pure rolling thunder: Mariusz Marecki and Craig Daws pound out beats and notes that feel seismic, driving each track forward with relentless momentum and metallic swagger.

Frontman Jut Tabor is the real weapon here. His rich, rasping raw screech tears through the mix, but it’s the seamless blend with clean harmonies that gives Hate Reactor its depth and replay value. There’s fury, yes – but also control, melody, and purpose.

The production is tight and muscular, letting every element breathe while maintaining an oppressive weight. It’s no surprise the band has drawn acclaim from Metal Hammer and The Guardian – Hate Reactor is Devine Chaos refining their sound into something heavier, darker, and far more dangerous. This isn’t just evolution; it’s escalation.
