The Moshville Times - Aerial Salad return with melody-packed new single/video “Everybody Needs Somebody”

Manchester alternative rock trio Aerial Salad are set to return to the fray with another batch of melodically charged anthems. Following on from 2024’s acclaimed R.O.I. album and the subsequent Roi de l’herbe EP in 2025, the group have announced that their upcoming new full-length record, Ideal World, will be released on 6th November via Venn Records.

To celebrate the announcement, the three-piece have dropped their dangerously catchy new single “Everybody Needs Somebody” (streaming now). The track marks a major statement from a songwriting perspective, delivering a powerful message of hope and friendship during the darkest of times. Vocalist and guitarist Jamie Munro states: “The song is about love and friendship in the darkest of times, centred around the lyric: ‘Life is one memory. If you don’t believe in yourself, just keep going.’ It’s a reminder not only to themselves, but also to their loved ones.”

The track has already been picked up by BBC Introducing, who praised its flow, attitude, and composition as one of the best-written tracks to emerge in years. To accompany the single, the band filmed a video upstairs at Manchester’s famous Castle Hotel, where they invited local aspiring actors to step into their shoes for fifteen minutes.

While the band note that Ideal World carries a lot of collective pain, hardship, and fear mirroring the societal challenges faced across the globe, it ultimately provides a vital message of resilience. Through that pain, there is a clear and vital message running through the music: humanity has the ability to make things better.

The announcement comes right as the trio prepare for a string of summer live dates across the country, including a highly anticipated appearance at Upcote Farm. They were recently announced as part of the massive lineup for 2000trees Festival alongside headliners Funeral For A Friend.
