Brooklyn’s own progressive metal six-piece Prime Prophecy have just unleashed their latest single, “Chains of the Divine”. Accompanied by a brand-new music video, the track landed today, 2nd May 2026, and it’s a proper deep dive into the band’s signature blend of symphonic depth and gritty New York urgency.
Forged over two decades, the band have built a reputation for music that doesn’t just show off technical chops but actually hits you in the chest emotionally. “Chains of the Divine” is a perfect example; it’s an introspective journey that tackles fear and faith, moving between heavy, thumping riffs and atmospheric passages that give the whole thing a real cinematic feel. It’s the kind of track that demands you sit down and actually listen rather than just having it on in the background while you’re doing the washing up.
Lyrically, the song is all about the struggle to shut out the noise of the modern world and find your own inner light. Vocalist Martin Wilczek describes it as a journey inward – a realization that the protection we’re all looking for is usually already inside us. The band’s European roots are clear here, too, mixing that grand, theatrical symphonic style you’d expect from across the pond with the raw energy of the Brooklyn underground. We haven’t had a proper catch-up with these guys on the site before, but with a sound this massive, they’re definitely one to keep an eye on if you’re into the more progressive side of the genre.
The single is available on all the usual streaming platforms right now, and the video is up on YouTube if you want the full visual experience. It looks like the next step in a very solid evolution for a band that has been refining their craft for twenty years.
