After the spectacular, moving and unfortunately timed The Land Under The Black Wings: Blood which I had the privilege to see live (gosh, almost two years ago, already?), Dymna Lotva is starting to unveil their upcoming opus Vyraj with the new single and video “Zory (Stars)”. It will open the new album which, as its predecessor, will be released under Prophecy Productions.
Here is a little insight into it:
“For millennia, the stars have guided us through the night”, vocalist Nokt writes. “According to Belarusian legends, the Milky Way guides migrating birds to warmer climes at the end of summer and its stars also lead the souls of the dead to another world. So where are we now? Is this a strange land or a different realm? Maybe we have already died and just didn’t realise it yet?
The band released many pictures and videos from the making of, saying how happy they were to work with Ryncuk Vystarobski at the Astra Studio in Warsaw. And while I already loved their aesthetic, I am glad to see it was taken into account and properly enhanced with quality filming, cool shots and skilful editing. And I am further more impressed to see in the credits that Nokt Aeon was not only behind the concept, but also made the costumes (which are stunning) and the make-up (which are on point).
