Brazilian dark power metal outfit Gargant have taken a major stride onto the international stage by signing a worldwide record deal with German independent label Fireflash Records. The deal will bring a comprehensive physical release for their critically acclaimed full-length debut, Dead Night Defiance, which is scheduled to hit shelves on CD and vinyl on 25th September 2026.
Composed of heavy metal scene veterans, including vocalist Guilherme Sevens, guitarists Caio Mendonça and Leandro Carvalho, bassist Paulo Doc, and drummer Phill Drigues, the band fuses massive, driving riffs and atmospheric darkness with towering 90s-inspired melodies. Although digitally released at the very end of 2025, Dead Night Defiance rapidly garnered widespread global praise, charting on multiple international “Best of Year” lists and ranking among the top ten power metal releases of the period. Label owner Markus Wosgien was instantly sold on the band’s immense presence, declaring: “What Gargant have created is simply a perfect 10/10 album. It’s packed with 90s metal elements and proper anthems that make you want to raise your hands, fists, and swords in the air.”
To celebrate the label partnership, the band has officially unveiled the immersive and high-octane performance music video for their epic track, “Stormfall.” The visually cinematic clip, directed and curated by frontman Guilherme Sevens – notable for his visual artwork with legendary figures such as Queen and AC/DC’s Dave Evans – perfectly highlights the dark, conceptual aesthetic that frames the band’s dense artistic universe. Physical versions of the album are set to feature exclusive bonus tracks, with pre-orders officially kicking off at the end of June.
Listeners looking for more dark, ritualistic independent rock spectacles should also check out the new video from Oklahoma’s Nova Riot.
