Modern heavy music trailblazers Beartooth have announced the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Pure Ecstasy, arriving on 28th August 2026. The record marks a major milestone for the band as their first release via their new label home, Fearless Records. Pre-orders are live now.
To celebrate the announcement, the Columbus, Ohio outfit has unleashed the album’s opening title track as its latest single. Written and developed alongside notable metal architects Misha Mansoor and Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me The Horizon), the song serves as a raw, disorienting entry point designed to lock listeners into the record’s chaotic vibe immediately. Frontman Caleb Shomo described the track as being birthed out of a desire for “the dumbest heaviest chugs we could chug,” paired with a music video directed by Zebulon Griffin.
Pure Ecstasy follows the massive chart-dominating success of 2023’s The Surface, pushing Shomo into his most collaborative and vulnerable territory to date. For the first time in Beartooth’s history, Shomo did not perform every instrument himself in the studio; instead, touring drummer Connor Denis tracked drums at NRG Recording Studios, while bassist Oshie Bichar, guitarists Zach Huston and Will Deely, and songwriter Skyler Accord all stepped up to shape the album’s 11 tracks. The album also features their earlier radical self-examination single, “Free.”
Following a massive US arena run with Bad Omens, the band will cross the Atlantic for a full European and UK headline tour this autumn. The UK leg includes a massive stop at London’s historic O2 Academy Brixton on 3rd October before heading north.
We previously caught the band’s explosive live energy in Scotland when we reviewed their headline performance at the Glasgow Barrowlands.
UK Tour Dates October 2026:
- 3rd Oct – London, O2 Academy Brixton
- 5th Oct – Leeds, O2 Academy Leeds
- 6th Oct – Glasgow, Barrowland Ballroom
