Blues-infused alt-rock duo When Rivers Meet have unveiled the scorching new video for their latest single, “The Script”. The track serves as a defiant manifesto for the fiercely independent pair, encouraging listeners to stare down fear and take control of their own destiny. It is the second glimpse into their upcoming album, Rhythm Rust & Static, which is set for release on 29th May.

“This one feels very personal to me,” says vocalist Grace Bond. “It’s about that voice that creeps in telling you how things are going to go and choosing not to believe it. The script isn’t written yet and that means I still get to decide”. Husband and bandmate Aaron Bond echoes this sentiment, describing the track as a festival-ready anthem about holding steady in uncertain times.

The duo has famously carved out their own path in the industry, securing two Official UK Top 10 albums without the backing of a label or management. After welcoming their first child, Bobby, in March, the couple plans to hit the road this summer with their new addition in tow. Musically, the new material leans into a raw and intimate sound, moving away from the more polished production seen on their 2025 release, Addicted To You.
