The Moshville Times - Sylosis drop new album The New Flesh and unleash “Spared From The Guillotine” video

Today is a massive day for UK metal titans Sylosis. The wait is finally over as they’ve officially released their seventh studio album, The New Flesh, via Nuclear Blast. If you’ve been following the build-up, you’ll know this one has been billed as a career-defining moment for the band, and it’s safe to say they’ve absolutely nailed it. It’s heavy, uncompromising, and exactly what we’ve come to expect from the lads, only turned up to eleven.

To celebrate the launch, the band have also shared a brand-new video for the track “Spared From The Guillotine”. It’s a proper neck-snapper of a tune that perfectly captures the vibe of the new record. You can check out the video below and see why these guys are still at the top of the heap when it comes to British thrash and melodic death metal. They’ve already been road-testing some of the new tracks on their current tour, and the feedback from the pits has been mental. It really feels like a new era for Josh, Ali, Ben, and Conor.

Speaking of the tour, tonight is the big one. Sylosis are playing the biggest headline show of their career at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town. It’s a stacked bill with Heaven Shall Burn, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Frozen Soul all joining the party. Our own writer, Alex, is actually at the London show right now, likely grabbing a pint and getting ready for the carnage to begin. The band are clearly chuffed with the result, mentioning that The New Flesh is their most collaborative and diverse work yet. The New Flesh is out now on CD and several cracking vinyl variants including a “Sky Blue with Black Splatter” version that looks the business.
