Red Method kick off 2026 with single / video “Becoming The Sickness”

London’s resident metal powerhouse Red Method have officially broken their silence, unleashing a brand new single titled “Becoming The Sickness”. It’s the first bit of fresh noise we’ve had from the sextet in over a year, and it’s fair to say they aren’t exactly easing us into 2026 – this one is a proper ear-basher.

The track is a thematic follow-up to 2024’s “All For One, None For All”, but it digs into much darker, more personal territory. The band have been open about the meaning behind the lyrics, explaining that the song is an honest look at mental health struggles that pushed them to the brink. It’s about that feeling of being stuck in a hole so deep you forget what it’s like to breathe—a raw bit of catharsis that’s bound to resonate with the “Bloodline” (that’s their loyal fan base, for the uninitiated).

Since their debut album For The Sick… dropped just before the world shut down, Red Method have been on a bit of a tear. They’ve gone from cramming onto tiny local stages to headlining the Boardie Stage at Download and opening the main stage at Bloodstock. They’ve spent the last couple of years touring the UK and Europe with the likes of Cradle of Filth and Sleep Token, and by the sounds of it, they’ve been working themselves to the bone behind the scenes to make 2026 their biggest year yet.
