Lancaster’s finest, Massive Wagons, have just unleashed a brand-new live single and video for their cracking track “Pressure”. It’s a tasty preview of what’s to come from their upcoming album, Live At The Great Hall, which is set to land on 27th March 2026 via Earache Records.
The track has been a mainstay in the band’s setlist for ages, and for good reason. It’s a proper high-energy belter that shows exactly why these lads are one of the best live acts on the circuit right now. Frontman Barry Mills is a big fan of this version too, pointing out that guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite’s solo is a particular highlight. Barry reckons the album really captures the heart and soul of the band, proving they are a serious outfit when they step onto the stage. It’s been a long time coming, but the timing felt right to finally get a proper live document of the Wagons story down on wax.
In a lovely gesture, the band have dedicated the song and video to the memory of Stu Hunting. Stu was a familiar face to many in the UK rock and metal scene and a massive supporter of live music. He was a close mate of the band, and while he’s sadly gone, the Wagons are making sure he’s definitely not forgotten.
The album itself was recorded over two nights in September 2025 at Lancaster University’s Great Hall. It’s a legendary spot that’s hosted the likes of Black Sabbath and The Who in the past, so it was the perfect place for a hometown hero welcome. Both nights were packed out, and the recording aims to bottle that electric atmosphere, complete with all the humour and grit you’d expect from a Wagons show.
