Koyo announce sophomore album ‘Barely Here’ and drop new single, touring in February

Long Island’s Koyo are officially back in the driver’s seat with the announcement of their second album, Barely Here, arriving on 8th May via Pure Noise Records. If you’re after something punchy, this one clocks in at 10 tracks in just 28 minutes—a lean, no-nonsense blast of melodic hardcore that doesn’t hang about.

The band have given us a proper taste of what’s to come with lead single “Irreversible.” It’s a high-octane cut that perfectly blends that familiar Long Island DNA—think the grit of Silent Majority mixed with the massive, sing-along hooks of Taking Back Sunday. Vocalist Joey Chiaramonte explains that while their debut, Would You Miss It?, felt like a grand statement, Barely Here is more about refining their core strengths into a perfected, no-frills form. The record also features some guest spots from Sammy Ciaramitaro (Drain) and Marisa Shirar (Fleshwater), adding a bit of extra muscle to the proceedings.

To celebrate the news, the lads are heading out on a massive world tour that includes a run of UK dates this February alongside Arm’s Length. Most of these shows are already teetering on the edge of selling out, so if you haven’t grabbed a ticket yet, you might want to move sharpish.
