Singer-songwriter Hollie Rogers has just unveiled her latest single, “Spaceman”, and it’s a bit of a grand affair. Taken from her upcoming album Everything’s Fine, which is set to land on 5th June 2026, the track sees Hollie swapping her usual guitar-led sound for something much more cinematic, complete with a full orchestral backing.
The song didn’t start out as a soaring ballad, though. Originally intended to be an upbeat rock anthem, it took a turn during a writing session with pianist Ed Blunt. The inspiration came from a proper “end of the world” moment the pair shared when they spotted a massive, flaming meteor tearing through the night sky. That real-life sonic boom clearly left an impression, sparking the opening lines of what eventually became a piano-led epic.
Hollie actually admits that the writing process was a bit of a slog, with the track only finding its feet once they realised they were playing it on the wrong instrument. A year later, it reached its final form with help from The Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Hollie even co-wrote the orchestral arrangement herself alongside Nicole Picazo, and the result was apparently moving enough to reduce her to tears during the recording session.
While “Spaceman” is the only piano ballad on the new record, it sets the tone for an album that Hollie says is her most honest work yet. If you want to catch her live, she’s heading out on a massive run of UK dates throughout 2026 to support the release.
