Wisconsin’s own Archers are having a bit of a moment. The melodic metalcore trio have officially joined the heavy-hitting roster at Fearless Records, and they’ve wasted no time making their mark. To celebrate the new deal, the band have dropped a brand-new single titled “The Dirt”, which is already doing the rounds and proving why these guys are one of the most exciting prospects in the scene right now.
The new track is a proper rager, mixing those skittering synths they’ve become known for with a groove that’ll have you nodding along in no time. Lyrically, it’s a bit of a deep dive into the head-mess that is imposter syndrome. According to the band, “The Dirt” is all about asking those uncomfortable questions like “Do I belong here?” and “How far have I really come?”. It’s a bit of raw honesty that hits home, especially when paired with their signature blend of massive pop melodies and gut-punching metalcore screams.
If you’re itching to see them bring that energy to the stage, you’re in luck. Archers are heading back across the pond this April for a run of headline shows. They absolutely smashed it at Download Festival and sold out their debut London show last time they were here, so expect these tickets to fly. Support for the UK leg comes from Tropic Gold, making these nights a cracking double bill for any fan of modern rock.
