Late last year, Sylosis gave us a right kicking with the title track from their upcoming album, and now they’re back for another round. The Reading thrash outfit have just dropped a devastating second single, “Erased” (video below – scroll down), and confirmed that their seventh studio album, The New Flesh, will be landing on February 20th via Nuclear Blast Records.
If the new single is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat. It’s a proper belter, full of the sort of neck-snapping riffs we’ve come to expect from Josh Middleton and the lads. Speaking about the track, the band said:
“Erased was one of the last songs to be written for the album. As we were approaching the deadline to get everything submitted there was a pressure there that really helped shape this song into something special. There’s a massive chorus here and one of our favourite middle 8 sections that we’ve ever put together. We can’t wait to play this one live.”
The New Flesh follows hot on the heels of 2023’s A Sign Of Things To Come, and it sounds like the band aren’t slowing down. They’ve described the record as a “towering testament to destructive riffing,” which is exactly what you want to hear. The album will be available in a CD jewelcase and a variety of vinyl colours, including solid red and a fancy sky blue splatter variant.

To support the release, Sylosis are heading out on their biggest tour yet across the UK and Europe early next year, followed by a stint in North America.
