Messticator unleash violent new video for “Bloodsport”

Hamburg-based death thrashers Messticator are preparing to release their sophomore album, Total Mastery, on March 13th via Testimony Records. To get the ball rolling, they’ve dropped a video for the new single “Bloodsport”, and it’s a bit of a bruiser.

Drummer Maik Weinhardt describes the track as an “unstoppable double-bass bulldozer that is blazing its trail without mercy”. The video itself is a gritty affair, inspired by the idea of a *Fight Club*-style serial killer posse. It involves some “insane fighting scenes” in a “Dexter-esque” kill zone. It looks like pure madness, frankly.

Total Mastery follows up their 2022 debut Forthcoming Revelation and 2023’s Slayer tribute EP. If the new single is anything to go by, they weren’t joking when they said this record would be faster and harder than its predecessor. It’s fast, it’s aggressive, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously—just look at that final track title.

Total Mastery tracklist:

  1. The Pit Awaits…
  2. …The Pitslayer
  3. High Ground
  4. One-Shot-Kill
  5. Ruins of Reason
  6. Bloodsport
  7. Mass Human Extinction
  8. Skeletal Thorns
  9. Deathtouch
  10. The Tyrant’s Scepter
  11. Cougar Claws (Return of the Leathermilf)
