Hell Throne release video for “A Fighter’s Oath”

American death/thrash metal outfit Hell Throne have unveiled a brand new music video for their track “A Fighter’s Oath”. The song is cut from the band’s latest EP, The Will to Die, which is available now. The new visual accompaniment was filmed by Wade M. Adakai and Nicholas Harvey, capturing the raw intensity that the band brings to their craft.

Hailing from the Navajo Nation in Arizona, Hell Throne was originally formed in 2021 by guitarist and vocalist Dave Kirk. Kirk initially took the DIY route, self-producing the band’s debut EP Awaken in 2022. As the project evolved, he collaborated with vocalist Dexter Dale, eventually bringing him into the fold as a full-time member. This partnership has helped to refine the band’s sound, leading to the recording of their first studio effort, The Will to Die.

Musically, the band straddles the line between the aggression of death metal and the high-speed rhythmic attack of thrash. Their sound is characterised by razor-sharp riffing and a vocal delivery that is as ritualistic as it is ferocious. They have spent the last few years building a solid reputation on the live circuit, known for high-intensity shows that have seen them share the stage with heavyweights such as D.R.I., Suicide Silence, Soulfly, and In Flames.

Hell Throne really captures the raw intensity of modern death/thrash. “A Fighter’s Oath” shows how tight riffing and aggressive vocals can create both chaos and precision. It’s impressive to see a band from the Navajo Nation building such a distinctive sound and sharing stages with major acts so early in their career. Curious how this EP will shape their evolution—do they lean more into thrash speed or death metal brutality next?
