Reading-based metal titans Sylosis have unveiled the details of their highly anticipated seventh studio album, The New Flesh. Scheduled for release on 20th February 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records, the announcement is accompanied by the release of the album’s ferocious title track and video.
Following the success of 2023’s A Sign Of Things To Come, the band – comprising founding member Josh Middleton (guitar/vocals), Ali Richardson (drums), Conor Marshall (guitar), and Ben Thomas (bass) – have returned with a renewed sense of aggression. Described as a “fearsome statement of intent”, the new record promises to be heavier and more ruthless than its predecessor, blending destructive riffing with Middleton’s most evocative songwriting to date.
Speaking on the new chapter for the band, Sylosis shared a collective statement:
“Introducing The New Flesh. This is us solidifying the line up of the band and moving forward with a new sense of purpose and aggression. After having spent so much of the last 2 years on the road, The New Flesh, and the songs that will follow from the album, have been written with the live environment in mind. There is an energy running through these songs that we’ve never felt on a Sylosis album, until now.”
The album will be available in various physical formats, including CD and several vinyl variants such as ‘Solid Red’ and ‘Sky Blue with Black Splatter’.
To support the release, Sylosis will embark on their biggest headline tour yet in early 2026. The trek will see them tearing across Europe before hitting the UK and Ireland for a trio of major shows in February. Joining them for the run will be a formidable support package featuring Revocation, Distant, and Life Cycles. A North American tour is also scheduled for April and May 2026.
