Pennsylvania groove-rockers Crobot have dropped a brand new lyric video for their latest single, “Gun To My Head”, just in time for their return to UK shores. The track is available now across all major streaming platforms and serves as the first taste of the band’s upcoming studio album.
The new release marks a significant moment for the band as they solidify their lineup and sound. While vocalist Brandon Yeagley and guitarist Christopher Bishop continue to lead the charge with their signature blend of harmonica-infused vocals and heavy riffing, the rhythm section has been bolstered by the arrival of brothers Willie Jansen (bass) and Nico Jansen (drums). This fresh configuration has reportedly injected a dangerous new energy into the group’s dynamic, stripping their sound back to a raw, muscular groove that channels the heavy weight of Black Sabbath with the funk-laden swagger of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
“Gun To My Head” is described as a hook-heavy anthem that leans into this revitalised approach. It isn’t a song about violence, but rather a reflection on the pressures of transformation and the difficult evolution that comes from facing hard truths. The track captures the band in their element, trading studio polish for instinct and feel.
Speaking about the track and the band’s current mindset, frontman Brandon Yeagley says:
“Sometimes you’re forced to take a step back and reflect on what really matters. Every note has a reason, every word a purpose. We’re etching something in-blood into the Crobot discography – and ‘Gun to My Head’ felt like the best taste of what’s to come.”
Having just wrapped up a run of shows in the United States, Crobot are currently gearing up to cross the Atlantic for a co-headline tour with CKY. The tour kicks off in Southampton on December 2nd and tears through the country before concluding in Brighton on December 14th. Fans can expect a high-octane performance as the band looks to prove that their live show is more potent than ever.
