Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse have released a new single and video, “One Massive Hit”. The track is out now and coincides with the launch of the band’s new live album and concert film, Hot Nostalgia Radio Live.
The band describes the new single as “pure Beaux Gris Gris”. Clocking in at 152 bpm and just under three minutes, “One Massive Hit” is described as a “loud, wild, and unapologetically fun” and a “fast-driving rock anthem for the times we’re living in.”
The track was produced by band members Greta Valenti (Vocals) and Robin Davey (Guitar, Bass). It was mixed by Chris Sheldon (known for work with Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, and Skunk Anansie) and mastered by Oasis Master. The recording also features Tom Rasulo (Drums) and Ross Munro (Keys, Organs, Horns).
An accompanying music video was filmed in Downtown Riverside, California. It features a host of the extended “Apocalypse family”, including bandmates, merch crew, and collaborators.
“We’ve always said Beaux Gris Gris is a family,” says vocalist Greta Valenti. “From the band itself to the people who make us look good and the friends who lift us up, this video is all about love, community, and coming together to have fun. That’s what music is supposed to be.”
The video was reportedly filmed the day after Halloween and was shot, edited, and released in a single day just before the band left for their current five-week European and UK tour.
“One Massive Hit” is out now on all digital platforms.
