Folk metal warriors Thunarwülf are set to release their brand new music video for the track “Night Hags’ Lament” tonight, Friday, October 17th, at 6pm BST. The video promises to bring the band’s blend of traditional folk melodies and thundering metal riffs to life.
“Night Hags’ Lament” will also be available on all major streaming platforms from Friday, October 24th.
Rising from the ancient lands of Hen Ogledd (Old English for Thunder Wolf), Thunarwülf formed in 2022, quickly releasing their self-titled ThunarWülf EP at the end of the year. Comprising members from local folk heroes Treebeard and The Kraken, fused with established metal musicians, Thunarwülf deliver an energetic and aggressive soundscape of huge riffs and catchy hooks, deeply rooted in the traditional folk melodies of the British Isles and beyond. Their songs delve into ancient myths and legends, many of which have remained untold for centuries. The band’s captivating live performances, replete with outfits, whistles, and a keytar, were a highlight on the New Blood stage at Bloodstock, showcasing their cracking folk metal sound.
Fans can catch Thunarwülf live in London on November 29th at The Fiddlers Elbow. They will be joined by Call of Fenrir, Kromheim, and Ravenhymn for what promises to be an epic night of metal!
