Tasmanian metal band Van Diemen have released “A Patient Man”, the first single from their upcoming third full-length album, Van Diemen III. The album is scheduled for release on October 14th.
Following up on their heavily acclaimed sophomore album, Sarcophilus Laniarius, the band has continued to fine-tune their unique style of melodic metal. The new record again features studio vocals from Wild Eye of Majak and was produced by the legendary Joe Haley of Crawlspace Productions, promising a release that packs a significant punch.

Drawing on the sounds of the cold, dark Tasmanian wilderness and lyrics inspired by long-lost local mythology, Van Diemen’s melodically charged death/black metal approach aims to encapsulate their homeland unlike any other. The band’s live lineup consists of Patrick Schmidt on vocals and rhythm guitar, Scott Lovell on lead guitar, Darren Smith on bass, and Ethan Shaw on drums.
