The Devil Wears Prada release new single and video “So Low”

The Devil Wears Prada have unveiled their brand-new single and video, “So Low,” the latest track from their forthcoming ninth studio album, Flowers, due for release on 14 November via Solid State Records. Pre-order Flowers here.

The video features footage captured during the band’s recent headline tour of Latin America, blending live clips and Super8 film for a grainy, almost vintage perspective.

Frontman Mike Hranica explains:

“To me, ‘So Low’ is almost fighting the mundane, when everything feels flat or meaningless. You just want to set it all on fire and blow it up to get a reaction. It’s about chasing that rush, even if it leaves you feeling worse in the end. The song comes from that place of frustration, when you’re desperate to feel alive no matter the cost.”

On the visuals, he adds:

“I love that we are able to capture Latin American cityscapes and habitation. It was a long time in the works to head back to places we hadn’t been in a long time, and I think it adds something extra to the aesthetic of ‘So Low.’ Visuals that we’ve never incorporated, different than what’s often seen stateside — all in all, it’s a nod to our loyal listeners across Mexico and South America.”

Flowers marks the beginning of a huge new chapter for the band. Following their packed Summer of Loud amphitheatre tour, The Devil Wears Prada are preparing for their biggest run of shows to date, joining Ice Nine Kills on their upcoming UK and European arena tour.

The release also follows the success of the single “For You,” the first TDWP track to chart on both the Mediabase and Billboard Active Rock charts. Two decades into their career, the band continue to break new ground and prove their staying power.
