Ov Sulfur announce sophomore album ‘Endless’, premiere video for “Evermore”

Blackened deathcore quintet Ov Sulfur have announced their sophomore album, Endless, which is set for release on January 16, 2026, via Century Media Records. The Las Vegas band has simultaneously premiered the music video for their ferocious new single, “Evermore”. Stream it now, or scroll down for the video.

Propelled by the return of former Suffokate vocalist Ricky Hoover, the album pushes the boundaries of their deathcore origins by heavily embracing black metal elements and exploring a surprising degree of melody. Endless follows the band’s 2023 debut, The Burden Ov Faith, and takes a more metaphorical approach to the disdain for religion that drove their previous material.

The central concept of the album revolves around eternal suffering. Hoover elaborated on the theme, stating: “When coming up with the theme for Endless, which is basically endless suffering and the various ways that could rear its ugly head, we questioned what it would be like to have endless life. In THEORY, living forever sounds incredible, but stop and think about what would come along with it: the death of your loved ones, the world around you gets worse (politically and physically), and no doubt eventual insanity from the eternally stacking heart break.”

He noted that “Evermore” encapsulates these thoughts, building as the character reaches the point of insanity. Guitarist/vocalist Chase Wilson added that the track was fun to write: “We have a really fast melodic riff to start the thing off, go into a beefed-up chorus, and then top it all off with a slam-style breakdown to shake things up. It’s kind of all over the place in the best way possible, because as different as these parts are, they work together.”

The new material sees the band further extend their vocal dynamics and melodic choruses. This growth builds on the vocal interplay established on the previous album, inspired by Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell. Hoover revealed that Wilson even taught him falsetto notes in the studio, pushing his vocal range further.

The album features guest vocals from three formidable figures in modern heavy music: Josh Davies of Ingested on “Dread”, Johnny Ciardullo of Carcosa on “Bleak”, and Alan Grnja of Distant on “A World Away”.

After proving themselves a formidable live act with tours alongside Lorna Shore and Signs of the Swarm, Ov Sulfur will be back on the road this November/December for an extensive North American trek alongside Ingested, Distant, Cell, and Crucifiction.
