Symphonic metal band Midnightmares have just released “Mortalize”, a new single and video from their upcoming album Mortalis, which is due out on October 4th. The epic duet features a guest appearance from legendary Primal Fear vocalist Ralf Scheepers.
The band comments on the new release:
Finally we can share our first single from the upcoming album! We worked very hard on the single and video and we are therefore very proud of the final result. “Mortalize” premiered on our YouTube channel where we had a live chat with our fans. The single was received very well and we want to thank all fans for their kind words and amazing support. We also thank Ralf Scheepers for working with us on this song. His vocal and video recordings are just absolutely stunning. Now we count the days for the release of the next single and album!
Mortalis is the next step for the band after their debut album, Shadow People, which was released in October 2024. The new record contains ten stunning songs, each telling a captivating story, which will also be presented in a limited edition storybook released alongside the album. All songs were recorded, mixed and mastered by the band’s own Gio Smet at Gio Smet Records.
To support the album, the band has also announced their “Mortalis Tour”, with shows planned in the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Formed in the winter of 2023 by Belgian musician/producer Gio Smet and Mexican singer Mariel Gimeno, Midnightmares is completed by Bart Jacquet on bass and Tom Skidmore on drums.
