Sanguisugabogg drop NSFW “Rotted Entanglement” video

Ohio’s boundary-pushing brutalists Sanguisugabogg — Cody Davidson, drums; Drew Arnold, bass/guitars; Devin Swank, vocals; and Ced Davis, bass/guitars — recently confirmed their putrid new album Hideous Aftermath, is coming out on October 10 via Century Media and it’s available to pre-order now.

The ‘Bogg have today shared the typically NSFW video for new single “Rotted Entanglement” which you can watch by scrolling down (if YouTube will let us embed such filth, otherwise you’ll need to click here).

“The music video was filmed in Columbus, Ohio and directed by our vocalist Devin Swank and Josh Nunn,” the band says. “Break your neck to ‘Rotted Entanglement!'”

About the album as a whole, Swank states, “It’s definitely our most death metal record, our most personal record, our most focused and brutal record to date.”

Known for being that band with the unpronounceable name and unreadable logos, the ‘Bogg have made a record as gore-obsessed and violence-inclined as any of their prior works, including Tortured Whole (2021) and Homicidal Ecstasy (2023), but with a career-defining command over their ugly art.

Says Swank, “It’s the one where we rolled our sleeves up and brought our A-Game.”

Hideous Aftermath is the work of a band who has already cut a bloody swath into the underground and beyond. Sanguisugabogg have emerged from the sweat and grime of countless U.S. and international tours with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Lorna Shore, and Kublai Kahn as well as festival slots and their own headline runs. They’ve ensnared scores of new converts to their brand of the brutally absurd.
