Set It Off announce new album, first single streaming now

Newly independent and doing everything on their own terms, Los Angeles-via-Florida rock band Set It Off come crashing into their new era with a bone to pick.

Off the back of singles like the riff-charged “Punching Bag” and the brutal vengeance of “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing [REBORN]”, they’re hitting hard rock radio charts for the first time and selling out shows across the globe, but that’s not the half of it.

New song “Rotten” is the track that this updated, more furious version of Set It Off has threatened to create for a while now, and seethes its way through breakdowns, chunky riffs and a chorus that belongs in arenas.

Our new song “Rotten” is about the lack of authenticity I see so often out in the world. It’s about people manipulating others just because they want something from them. Then the exploiters get what they want via the synthetic sugar they’re pumping out, but eventually… it’s going to rot out their teeth and those people will see the truth.

“Rotten” is taken from the band’s upcoming self-titled album – the first full-length of their new, independent era. There’s no label, no rules. Just them. Already a multi-million streaming and global touring band, they’ve taken their future into their own hands and become their most authentic self.

Once we started doing this by ourselves, the first thought I had was that I wanted to go back to that 19-year-old kid who just learnt to write music in his bedroom, writing for nobody else but himself. It has the heaviness, the pop, the rap… this album is an amalgamation of everything we’ve tried over the years. That’s why this album needs to be self-titled. Because this is Set It Off.

The self-titled album was produced by long-time friend Jon Lundin and sees them at their heaviest yet. Prepare for the continued evolution of one of the hardest-working rock bands. Only this time, they’re the ones calling the shots.

Set It Off will be released on November 7th and you can pre-order it now!
