Nashville’s premier stoner metal outfit Howling Giant are set to cross the Atlantic this month for a European headliner tour. The run comes in support of their acclaimed third full-length, Crucible & Ruin, which has been picking up top marks across the globe since its release late last year.
The tour marks the band’s first European trip in over two years and will be the first opportunity for fans on this side of the pond to see the new four-piece line-up in action. The addition of Adrian Lee Zambrano on guitars and synths has added a fresh layer of texture and aggressive punch to their sound, moving away from the “bunker” home-recordings of old into a massive, professional studio environment.
Lyrically, Crucible & Ruin follows a novice deity battling primordial chaos, a narrative matched by the stunning alcohol ink artwork provided by guitarist Tom Polzine’s mother. The band commented: “We’re quite pleased to perform in a ton of cities where we’ve never played before! Looking forward to see you on the road!”
If you like your riffs heavy and atmospheric, make sure to check out the new one from Antirope as well.
You can catch the band at the following UK dates:
- 15th May – Nottingham, The Mist Rolling Inn
- 16th May – Edinburgh, Wee Red Bar
- 17th May – London, Desertfest London
- 19th May – Coventry, The Tin
- 20th May – Bristol, The Gryphon
