If you’ve been keeping an eye on the UK blues rock scene lately, you’ll know that The Zac Schulze Gang are currently on an absolute tear. Fresh from a sold-out show at London’s Islington Garage and bagging the “Young Artist of the Year” gong at the UK Blues Awards for the second year running, the Kent trio have just announced a massive headline run for February and March 2027.
These lads have built a reputation for being one of the hardest-working bands on the circuit, channelled through a high-octane blend of 70s blues grit and modern alt-rock punch. Think of the frantic energy of Wilko Johnson mixed with the raw swagger of Rory Gallagher and a healthy dose of AC/DC, and you’re halfway there. It’s loud, it’s sweaty, and it’s exactly what rock and roll should be.
Since they first made a splash at the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, Zac, his brother Ben Schulze on drums, and bassist Ant Greenwell have been relentless. They spent plenty of time on the road supporting Samantha Fish and have since been filling venues across the UK and Europe on their own merit. Their debut album, Straight To It, dropped back in September 2025 and did exactly what the title suggested – no filler, just straight-up, neck-snapping riffs.
The 2027 tour includes their biggest London headline date to date at the Islington Assembly Hall. If you haven’t seen them live yet, you’re missing out on a band that actually plays like their lives depend on it.
