The time-travelling musical collective known as Postmodern Jukebox has just kicked off its fifth season, and they’ve brought a fresh face along for the ride. The group, famous for taking modern pop hits and giving them a vintage makeover, has just released a brand-new cover of the ABBA classic “Thank You For The Music”.
The track marks the debut of Katerina Lomis. Just a month ago, Katerina was working in a research lab in Miami, but she’s swapped the lab coat for the mic to show off some seriously impressive vocal chops. If you’re into the group’s knack for turning chart-toppers into swing, jazz, or ragtime belters, this latest one is definitely worth a look. We’ve featured Postmodern Jukebox before, usually when they’re teaming up with other well-known artists, and they never fail to put a cracking spin on a familiar tune.
The best news for us on this side of the pond is that the band are currently heading out on their “The Future Is Vintage” tour, which includes a massive run of dates across the UK and Ireland this May and June. If you fancy seeing Katerina and the rest of the talented lot in person, there are plenty of chances to catch them at a venue near you.
