The Angels Army have been busy. Following last week’s massive news that Scarborough’s finest, Little Angels, are reuniting for their first tour in over a decade, tickets have been flying out the door. The show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire vanished in days, and the band have wasted no time in adding more dates to keep up with the scramble.
The “Big Bad & Back” run now includes a second London date at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on Sunday 29th November. They’ve also added stops at the iconic Newcastle O2 City Hall on 17th November and the Cardiff Depot on 23rd November. Frontman Toby Jepson admits the band are “astounded” by the response, especially regarding the Newcastle date – a city the lads have been in love with since they were starting out in the late 80s.
This tour is the real deal, featuring the full Jam-era line-up: Toby Jepson on vocals, Bruce Dickinson on guitar, Jim Dickinson on keys, Mark Plunkett on bass, and Mark Richardson behind the kit. And yes, they’re bringing the Big Bad Horns along to make sure those choruses hit as hard as they did in ’93! Supporting them across the whole run is Thunder’s Luke Morley, who’ll be playing a set of his recent solo material alongside some Thunder classics.
It’s a rare chance to see a band that defined a golden era of British rock, from their Scarborough roots to hitting the top of the charts with Jam. Whether you’ve been there since Too Posh To Mosh or you’re a fresh recruit, these shows are going to be a proper celebration.
