If you were hanging around rock clubs in the late 80s or early 90s, chances are you had a Jam poster on your wall or a well-worn Little Angels patch on your denim jacket. Well, it’s time to dig out the leather trousers because the Scarborough lads are officially Big, Bad & Back. They’ve just announced an ultra-rare UK tour for November 2026, and the best bit? It’s the full original line-up.
Toby Jepson, Bruce Dickinson, Jim Dickinson, Mark Plunkett, and Mark Richardson are all back on board. It’s been a fair old while since we last saw them – their last run was back in 2012 after a massive set at Download. Before that, you’d have to go back to 1994 when they played those “final” shows at the Royal Albert Hall. I actually remember hitch-hiking around the country for those original farewell gigs back in the 90s, and caught them in Glasgow when they reformed a few years back at the ABC. Sadly, that venue has since burned down twice, so it’s a good job they’re heading to the O2 Academy this time around!
The band were a staple of the scene back in the day, sharing stages with the likes of Van Halen and Guns N’ Roses while bagging 11 Top 40 singles. Frontman Toby Jepson reckons the timing is finally right to get the gang back together for the right reasons – basically, because they love playing together and for the fans who’ve stuck by them for nearly 40 years.
As if that wasn’t enough of a result, they’re bringing along an old mate for the ride. Luke Morley of Thunder is joining the tour as special guest. Luke’s already hinted he might have to chuck a few Thunder tunes into his set, which should make these nights a proper celebration of that classic era of British hard rock.
