Bloodstock teams up with Stowford Press for Metal 2 The Masses 2026

Bloodstock is raising a glass to a massive new partnership for 2026. Westons Stowford Press has officially hopped on board to sponsor both the Metal 2 The Masses scheme and the New Blood Stage. If you’ve spent any time at Catton Park, you’ll know Stowford Press well—it’s crafted by Westons Cider, a family-run lot from Herefordshire who have been backing the festival for years.

They’ve been making cider for over 145 years using apples grown within 50 miles of their mill, so they know a thing or two about heritage and doing things the right way. It’s a solid fit for Bloodstock, a festival that prides itself on that same independent spirit. Our mates at the festival were even picked out at the 2024 Heavy Music Awards, bagging the “H Award” for everything they do for the underground scene.

For those who haven’t tracked the initiative before, Metal 2 The Masses is the ultimate battle-to-the-stage for unsigned and self-released bands. Groups across the UK and beyond slug it out in local heats for a chance to grab a slot on the Stowford Press New Blood Stage in August. Simon Hall, the man behind the curtain for M2TM, says it’s all about the community and giving these bands a proper platform. We’ve seen the quality of the talent first-hand over the years and interview most if not all of the winners each year on their way to Bloodstock.

The 2026 heats are already kicking off, and the competition is looking fierce. This year, regions including Sheffield, Belfast, Leeds, Scotland, Manchester, London, and even Norway and Cyprus are involved. If you’re in a band and think you’ve got what it takes, get in touch with your local promoter before the slots are all gone. You can see the full list of venues and entry details on the official site, or watch the “Highway to Bloodstock” video below to get a feel for the madness.

Bloodstock 2026 is shaping up to be a belter for its 25th anniversary. Along with the new talent, you’ve got heavyweights like Lamb of God, Judas Priest, Saxon, and Slaughter to Prevail headlining the main stage. While weekend tickets have already been snapped up, you can still grab day tickets for £99 to join the party at Catton Park from 6th – 9th August.
