The team behind ArcTanGent Festival have just dropped a massive line-up update for the 2026 edition, and it is looking absolutely stacked. Returning to Fernhill Farm near Bristol from the 19th to the 22nd of August, the festival has confirmed a host of new names joining the likes of Primus and Chelsea Wolfe. Tickets on sale now!
Leading the charge are the recently reformed Arcane Roots. The band, who have been quiet for over seven years, surprised everyone this week by dropping their first new music in ages with the single “A Wave. Across The Sea”. They’ve announced a signing to Big Scary Monsters and confirmed that their appearance at ATG (along with 2000trees) will be a live exclusive. Given they are one of the most requested bands in the festival’s history, their main stage set is bound to be a highlight of the weekend.
Joining them on the bill are Manchester experimentalists Maruja. They played the festival last year as a relatively new prospect but return this year as one of the most talked-about live acts in the country. If you like your post-rock with a side of visuals, Nordic Giants are also on board, promising the kind of cinematic experience they are known for.
Other notable additions include US shoegazers Nothing, a UK exclusive performance from Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør, and the ever-dapper Jamie Lenman. For those who like things a bit heavier or weirder, the lineup now boasts the likes of Master Boot Record, London math-core mob Pupil Slicer, and Brazilian avant-garde metallers Papangu.
Festival organiser James Scarlett is clearly chuffed with how things are shaping up:
“ArcTanGent 2026 is officially our best-selling edition of the festival by a country mile, and we are absolutely buzzing to be adding another huge wave of artists for the festival. In particular, bands like Eivør, Nothing and Master Boot Record, who are joining us at the festival for the very first time. One of the best parts of booking a festival is also to be able to have some artists return significantly bigger than the last time they played. The likes of Maruja and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs have well and truly sped through the ranks and both are not to be missed this year after playing much lower down the bill only a few years ago. All this without mentioning the return of the mighty Arcane Roots – to have them returning after over 7 years, exclusively for our festivals, is a truly special moment.”
These new additions join the previously announced headliners: Chelsea Wolfe, Primus, and the massive collaboration between Cult of Luna & Julie Christmas performing Mariner.
