Jimmy Eat World announce huge UK shows for Bleed American 25th anniversary

It has been a quarter of a century since Arizona rock icons Jimmy Eat World released their seminal fourth studio album, Bleed American. To mark this significant milestone, the band has announced their return to the UK for a series of massive outdoor headline shows in August 2026.

This exclusive run of dates will see the band performing the classic 2001 album in full for the first time on UK soil. The tour kicks off at The Piece Hall in Halifax on 14th August, moves to the historic Cardiff Castle on 15th August, and concludes with their biggest-ever UK headline show at Gunnersbury Park in London on 16th August. Fans can expect a setlist featuring the entire album—including anthems like “The Middle”, “Sweetness”, and “Bleed American”—alongside a selection of hits and rarities from their extensive catalogue.

Joining them for these special celebrations is a stellar line-up of special guests. Punk heavyweights Rise Against and emo veterans The Get Up Kids will support on all dates, while indie-rock artist Jay Som will join the bill for the Cardiff and London shows.

Bleed American remains a landmark record that helped propel alternative rock into the mainstream. It has been certified Platinum in the US and Gold in the UK, with its breakout single “The Middle” recently surpassing one billion streams on Spotify. Speaking on the enduring connection fans have with the record, frontman Jim Adkins says:

“When we printed the last mix of Bleed American, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. Bleed American is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.”

The announcement caps off a busy period for the band, who recently released the Something(s) Loud EP on 14th November. The release features vinyl debuts of digital singles such as “Something Loud” and “Place Your Debts”, as well as the previously unreleased track “Failure” from the Surviving sessions. The band is currently in the studio working on new music.
