This news comes as the band promotes a new 12″ EP, Full Circle/The Sleeper, released via Sanctus Propaganda. The record features the two original 1987 tracks, “Full Circle” and “The Sleeper”, which have been remastered. It also includes three new 2025 rehearsal studio recordings from the new lineup, including new versions of “Full Circle”, “The Sleeper”, and “Suicide Investigation Team”. A video for the 2025 recording of “Full Circle” is available to watch now.
Other recent recordings include “Tricked And Abused”, which appears on a split 7″ with Safety Pin magazine, and “Dark And Lonley”, featured on the ‘Still Here Still Shouting’ cassette compilation from Suspect Device. For fans of their classic material, the Phoenix and Shockgun LPs have also been freshly repressed by Boss Tuneage Records.
The first incarnation of Instigators formed in West Yorkshire in the early eighties and released their debut EP in 1984. After a significant lineup change, the band toured relentlessly, releasing their Phoenix and Shockgun albums before splitting in Milan in the early 1990s. Their 2025 return marked their first activity in over three decades.
The current lineup consists of Andy Turner (vocals), Dan Le-Billon (drums), Gary Jackson (bass), and Simon Mooney (guitar).
