California’s Bad Suns have announced their long-awaited return with a UK and Ireland headline tour scheduled for early 2026. The run will kick off at King Tut’s in Glasgow on February 28th before visiting Dublin, Manchester, and London.
The tour is in support of the band’s fifth album, Accelerator, which was released in August via Epitaph and has already surpassed eleven million global streams. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, October 10th, at 10 am.
Speaking about the upcoming dates, the band says:
We’re incredibly excited to finally be returning to the UK and Europe, bringing the Acceleratour to the fans who have been patiently waiting since our last shows there. This record is very special to us and it’s not lost on us how lucky we are to get to play it so far from home. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone next spring.
For Accelerator, the trio, comprising Christo Bowman (vocals/guitar), Gavin Bennett (bass), and Miles Morris (drums), reconnected with producer Eric Palmquist, who helmed their 2014 debut Language & Perspective. The result is an album brimming with dance-pop hooks and poignant lessons, influenced in part by ’90s house music. This new direction is evident on the lead single “Communicating”, which recently hit number 19 on the alternative rock charts and was named one of Rolling Stone’s “Best Songs Of The Year So Far”.
Frontman Christo Bowman sees the album as a significant milestone, reflecting on personal growth and impending fatherhood. “My 20s were a challenging time with a lot of peaks and a lot of valleys,” he muses. “This album is ultimately about finding the strength within yourself to assess the damage that’s been done and make the changes that you need to in order to take control of your own life.”
