The award-winning ArcTanGent Festival, set to return near Bristol from August 19th to 22nd, 2026, has unveiled the first wave of acts for its next instalment. The announcement is packed with UK exclusives, special reformations, and final performances. We’ve covered the event in the past, and both Linz and Sam were more than impressed with last year’s festival.
Topping the bill in this initial reveal is the unique French artist Igorrr, the alias of musician Gautier Serre. The project, known for blending black metal, breakbeats, baroque, and trip-hop, will be performing a UK exclusive set.
Also hailing from France are black metal pioneers Alcest and recent Kerrang! magazine cover stars, electronic artist Perturbator, with both sets also being UK exclusives. They are joined by Oklahoma’s noise-sludge outfit Chat Pile and the returning Belgian band Oathbreaker, who will also be playing a UK exclusive show. The announcement also features the much-anticipated return of Icelandic math art-rockers Agent Fresco, playing their first shows in seven years exclusively for the festival, alongside British math-rock mainstays TTNG, who are also performing for the first time in seven years.
The festival is also set to host several special reunion shows. British band Heck are reforming specifically for a 10th-anniversary performance of their album Instructions. Furthermore, Humanfly will be reforming for their first show in 13 years. Following the success of last year’s silent disco, British rock band Amplifier will be performing a special live silent disco set.
The Wednesday line-up has also been partially revealed. It features post-hardcore band Svalbard, who will be playing their final ever festival show. They are joined by French post-rockers Lost In Kiev and math-rock group Alpha Male Tea Party, the latter fresh from the release of their 2025 album, Reptilian Brain.
Festival organiser James Scarlett commented on the announcement:
The demand for ArcTanGent 2026 tickets has truly been unprecedented, with over half our tickets sold in the first 2 weeks of them being on sale. Fans will have to wait a little bit longer before we can announce our headliners, but we’re so excited for the exclusives, reformations and special sets we’ve already cooked up – Early Bird tickets are running low so if you want to lock in for another vintage ArcTanGent, don’t sleep!
