Wendy James will embark on a UK tour next month in support of her recent tenth solo album, The Shape of History.
She will be accompanied by a full all-star band, featuring her former Transvision Vamp bandmate Dave Parsons on bass, Jim Sclavunos from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds on drums, and Alex Ward of the Thurston Moore Group on guitar. The set will feature songs from across her entire career, from Transvision Vamp pop to her more recent solo material.
Speaking about the new album, James says it is a “love letter and a Thank you note to life so far,” but is quick to add, “I don’t think my music has got older, I know I’ve not gone mellow! My attitude can be more ferocious and fearless than ever.”
