Following two spectacular performances at this year’s Prophecy Fest last weekend, Darkher frontwoman Jayn Maiven has announced four more golden opportunities to witness her musical magic live on stage.
The new dates include two back-to-back shows in her native Yorkshire, which will feature special guest appearances from My Dying Bride vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe and the Dead Space Chamber Music ensemble. A further date is scheduled for London in November.
The shows are in support of her acclaimed latest masterpiece, The Buried Storm (available now). With her sophomore full-length, the guitarist, composer, and lyricist has clearly succeeded in improving the alchemic musical formula that was firmly established on Darkher’s debut album, Realms, in 2016.
The sinister yet beguiling images that Darkher paints with her ethereal vocals and guitars conjure iridescent cinematic scenes in which it becomes hard to tell whether there is beauty in darkness or if it is the other way around.
Darkher’s UK live dates are as follows:
- 18th Oct – Hebden Bridge, The Trades Club (with Aaron Stainthorpe & Dead Space Chamber Music)
- 19th Oct – Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall Octagonal Chapel (with Ellen Southern of DSCM)
- 8th Nov – London, The Black Heart (with Dead Space Chamber Music)
