London-based avant-garde metal duo The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) have released their blistering third single, “Lucky Ducker”, available to stream on all platforms now. The track serves as the latest preview from their forthcoming fourth studio album, Misantropi, which is set to unleash its unfiltered aggression on 12th July 2026. Pre-order the 12″ vinyl now!
Formed by Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy) in early 2020, the duo has built a reputation as provocateurs within the heavy music scene, fusing visceral spoken poetry with crushing heavy metal. Their new single features a staggering 131 swear words packed into a 247-word lyrical framework. “In a world that doesn’t say fuck off enough, it is time to say it more,” the band states. “Sooner or later, everyone encounters a ‘Lucky Ducker’ in life. This is our gift to you, a tool to vent when others fail.”
Following the chart success of their 2024 record, Origins, the new album presents a raw, unfiltered manifesto described by the band as being “for humans who hate people.” Stripping back electronic elements to focus on a classic, human-made setup of drums, bass, and guitars, Misantropi features more melodic singing alongside their signature theatrical spoken word. The release follows the success of their second single, “The Last Plague,” which dominated global Apple Music rock and metal charts earlier this year.
The album was recorded and produced by Andrea Papi at TCOMAS Studio, with mixing and mastering handled by Marinos Tountas at Ergosphere Studios. 12″ vinyl pre-orders are available now through the official band portal.
Fans of intense, politically minded European alternative music should also check out the new EP from France’s Solitone.
