Brazilian thrash metal project No More Death has unveiled the cover art and tracklist for their second full-length album, Last Caesar. The project, led by vocalist and guitarist Tiago Torres (ex-Mad Dragzter), returns following the international success of their debut, The Death Is Dead, which solidified the band’s position among the rising forces of the thrash scene.
Last Caesar serves as a direct conceptual continuation of the first record. While the debut represented the dawn of humanity, the new work explores the final years of the human era through a dark and destructive lens. Musically, fans can expect a more aggressive and technical approach, drawing heavy inspiration from the Bay Area sounds of Testament and Exodus, as well as the relentless intensity of Slayer. The band has also hinted at including unexpected elements, such as a heavy ballad, to add depth to the album’s dark atmosphere.
The production was once again handled by Demis Kohler, who oversaw the sound engineering, mixing, and mastering, while the striking cover art was created by Jean Michel (DSNS Art), known for his work with Metal Church and Queensrÿche. Last Caesar is set for a digital release this July, with physical copies arriving in August via Roxx Records. The title track, “Last Caesar,” will be the focus of the album’s post-release music video.
Fans of conceptual thrash should also check out the latest from Whipworm, who recently returned with their own dark narrative on Death Beyond.
