Murdery return with brutal new single “Killing Grandma”

Spanish death metal outfit Murdery have unleashed their first offering of 2026 with the release of their savage new single, “Killing Grandma”. Dropping on 21st April, the track serves as the first glimpse of upcoming studio material and follows their 2023 release, Bloodshed.

The new single was released to coincide with the band’s Spring Annihilation Tour across Poland, where it has quickly become a staple of their live set. According to the band, the track represents a shift towards a more direct and aggressive sound. “This track works as a statement piece,” the band commented. “Compared to earlier material, ‘Killing Grandma’ leans harder into that raw, groovy death metal energy. It’s less polished and more of a punch in the face.”

Murdery have spent years honing their craft in the European underground, blending old-school death metal roots with a modern, groove-driven attack. Their relentless approach has seen them share stages with heavyweights such as Napalm Death, Brujeria, and Hatebreed. For fans of the classic Florida and Swedish scenes—think Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Dismember—this latest release is an essential addition to your playlist.

The single is available now on all major streaming platforms. Check out our recent news on other extreme metal releases here.
