Jessica Lynn leans into her rock roots with new single “Truckin’”

New York’s own Jessica Lynn is back with a fresh track, and this time she’s turning up the gain. Her latest single, “Truckin’”, has just landed on all digital platforms, and it sees the singer-songwriter trading in some of her Nashville polish for the raw energy of the rock bands she grew up playing in.

According to Jessica, “Truckin’” is all about that “foot on the gas” mentality. It’s a song about perseverance and refusing to sit still once you’ve set your sights on a goal. While she’s often labelled as “country arena rock,” this new material leans much more heavily into the latter half of that description. She’s been very vocal about giving herself the freedom to ignore genre lines, and if it results in more belters like this, we’re certainly not going to complain.

It’s been a massive year for the New Yorker so far. Her sophomore effort, All I Own, released back in January 2025, made a serious dent in the Billboard charts and even bagged her a couple of British Country Music Association (BCMA) award nominations. We’ve been keeping tabs on Jessica’s UK visits for a few years now, and while she’s just finished a huge run of Christmas shows, she’s already eyeing up a return to our shores later this year. She’s currently back in the studio working on more new tunes slated for 2026, so the momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

If you’re a fan of high-energy performances and actual, honest storytelling, “Truckin’” is well worth a spin. It’s rowdy, direct, and proves that Jessica Lynn is just as comfortable in a sweaty rock club as she is on a massive festival stage.
