BLACK announce upcoming new single Practice of Suffering

Sacramento thrash and death metal stalwarts BLACK have announced the upcoming release of their brand-new single, “Practice of Suffering,” scheduled to drop on Friday 29th May 2026. The new track marks the band’s latest musical output as part of an incredibly busy studio cycle under their ongoing global partnership with the Imperative Music Agency.

The announcement builds upon a highly successful string of conceptual releases from the California quintet – currently comprising vocalist Don McMillan III, guitarists Austin Elkington and Erik Von Krauss, drummer Kenny Donovan, and bassist Mike Mendenhall. “Practice of Suffering” arrives hot on the heels of their March historical epic “Embrace My Fall” (inspired by Roman Emperor Caligula), further cementing the band’s signature blend of crushing West Coast groove and technical aggression that recently earned them high praise in Germany’s Legacy Magazine and a featured spot on Imperative Music’s international compilation series alongside Kerry King.

Following a string of high-profile sold-out regional shows and historic appearances alongside heavy music icons like Death Angel, D.R.I., and Exmortus, the registered trademark outfit will head back into the studio directly following the single’s release to finalize a series of subsequent tracks slated for the summer festival circuit.

“Practice of Suffering” will be available on all major digital streaming platforms this Friday. In the meantime, check out “Embrace My Fall” below.
