Manchester’s own technical death metal heavyweights Ingested have dropped their latest single, “Watch You Fold”, ahead of their upcoming full-length album, Denigration. The track sees the band joining forces with a true titan of the genre, John Gallagher of Dying Fetus, for a brutal display of precision and power.
The new single is described by the band as a “character assassination in slow motion,” taking aim at greedy parasites who hide behind respectability while exploiting those around them. Musically, it’s a deliberate nod to the mid-2000s “Unique Leader” school of brutal death metal, blending relentless grooves with brooding atmosphere. Having Gallagher on the track brings things full circle for the band, as his iconic gutturals tie the sound back to the era that originally shaped their sense of heaviness.

For nearly two decades, Ingested have been one of the UK’s most uncompromising forces in extreme metal. Denigration marks a bold new chapter for the group, featuring a lineup of founding members Sean Hynes and Lyn Jeffs alongside guitarist/vocalist Andrew Virrueta and bassist Thomas O’Malley. Produced by Nico Beninato at The Arch Studios, the record also boasts an impressive list of guest spots, including Damonteal Harris (PeelingFlesh), Skyler Conder (Cell), and Kyle Medina (Bodysnatcher).
Denigration is set for release on 8th May 2026 via Metal Blade Records. It will be available digitally, on CD (featuring two bonus tracks), and in various limited-edition vinyl colours – pre-orders can be grabbed now. Following the release, the band will be heading across the pond to join the Chaos & Carnage Tour alongside Thy Art Is Murder, Carnifex, and more.
