Italian grindcore legends Cripple Bastards announce new EP ‘La tua foto sul marmo’

Asti’s most uncompromising sons are back. Cripple Bastards have announced they will release a brand-new EP, La tua foto sul marmo, on 12th June 2026 via F.O.A.D. Records. While it might only be an EP, the band are calling it a major statement, packed with the kind of fresh songwriting that keeps a legendary act relevant after nearly four decades in the trenches.

Known for their brand of hate-fuelled grind, the new tracks are said to venture into more dynamic territory, featuring frequent tempo shifts and guitar work that leans into suspense and tension alongside the expected auditory violence. The music was tracked at SPVN Studio with Stefano Santi, while vocals were handled by Carlo Altobelli at Toxic Basement Studio.

Formed in 1988, Cripple Bastards have evolved from raw teenage misfits into a global cult phenomenon. From their debut Your Lies in Check to the widely acclaimed Misantropo a senso unico and their best-selling landmark Desperately Insensitive, they’ve consistently shaped the extreme underground. Their move to Relapse Records for Nero in metastasi only cemented their status as an essential name in grindcore history. As Mike IX Williams of Eyehategod puts it, the band simply “owns” the word brutal.

The first single, “L’era della dispersione”, is already streaming, giving fans a taste of the unrelenting hunger that still drives this unit. You can catch the band’s name all over the summer festival circuit, and they remain one of the most respected live acts in the game.

The tracklist for La tua foto sul marmo is:

  1. Il respiro si chiude
  2. Scarto del rimorso
  3. Vendicativo
  4. La tua foto sul marmo
  5. L’era della dispersione
  6. Ai confini di quel che puoi dire
