South Wales’ own pop punk powerhouse, Fortune Teller, (who we spoke to a bit over a year ago) have officially unleashed their latest single, “Lucid State”. Following the massive success of their debut EP, Premonitions (which bagged a 9/10 from PowerPlay Magazine and picked up airplay on Kerrang! Radio) the five-piece are back with a track that blends gritty guitars with the kind of soaring vocals that’ll be stuck in your head for days.
For those who like their tunes with a bit of heart, “Lucid State” marks a more vulnerable shift for the lads. The band explains that the song captures the feeling of finding a real connection after a period of self-healing, describing that dreamlike state of stepping into something new and not wanting to let go. It’s got that classic energy of bands like Neck Deep and The Story So Far, but with a cheeky nod to the greats like Blink-182 and Good Charlotte.
The new single comes with a cracking visualiser to match the vibe. If you want to see them tear it up in person, they’ve got a few festival dates coming up over the summer.
Catch Fortune Teller live at the following dates:
- 2 May: Banbury – Wheatsheaf (Spring Breakdown 2026)
- 11 Jul: Cardiff – Fuel Bar (New Rock City Festival)
- 2 Aug: Treforest – Green Rooms (GR Outdoor Music Festival)
