German avant-garde death metal pioneers Dark Millennium have released “Witchcraft Island”, the second single and lyric video from their upcoming studio album, COME. Due for release on 22nd May 2026 via Massacre Records (pre-order now!), the album follows the hypnotic lead single “Amber” in exploring the band’s strange and shifting sonic universe.
With “Witchcraft Island”, the band once again merges intense death metal with ritualistic atmospheres and non-linear songwriting. The track rewards repeated listening with its dense riffs, eerie textures, and organic evolution. Conceptually, the song aligns with the album’s overarching themes of intoxication and altered states of consciousness, exploring the fragile boundary between reality and illusion.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Hilton Theissen at Wide Noise Studio, COME embraces a deliberately organic, analogue sound. A unique element of the record is the interplay between drummer Andre Schaltenberg and founding member Christoph Hesse, who alternate throughout the album to add further depth and unpredictability to the material.
